　　In the IELTS writing test, you are graded on four areas: task achievement/ response, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource and grammatical range and accuracy. There are some very common grammar and vocabulary mistakes that we see time and time again. Here are the key ones to avoid.

　　 Explanation:We always say nowadays, never nowaday.用nowadays不要用nowaday
　　3 There was a dramatically increase There was a dramatic increase
　　 Explanation:When describing changes (especially in Task 1) use adj. noun (a dramatic increase) OR verb adv. (it increased dramatically).形容变化的时候（特别是在Task 1）用形容词 名词（比如a dramatic increase）或者动词 副词（比如it increased dramatically）
　　4 40% of 60 years old people drive cars. 40% of 60 year old people drive cars. 40% of 60 year olds drive cars.
　　 Explanation:When you say one’s age, years is plural – he is 60 years old.When you use age to describe people you don't need ‘s’ – a 60-year old man.You can also use age as a noun. In this case, if it’s plural, then you add ‘s’ to ‘old’ – 60 year olds are healthier than they used to be.

　　 Explanation:Most of the time, we don’t need to use an article (the) with countries. E.g. American, Japan, England, France. Not ‘the France’ etc…However, if the country is abbreviated, or the name refers to a collection of islands, nations or states, then we do use the. E.g. The U.K., The U.S.A, The Philippines etc…大多数情况下，我们不需要在国家前面用the。但是如果国家名字是缩写的，或者名字指代一系列岛、国家或者州，就需要加the。
　　6 …is an important reason for this. Besides, people also… …is an important reason for this. Besides this/ In addition, people also…
　　 Explanation:It’s very common to use ‘Besides’ to link ideas together, but this is incorrect. Besides is more commonly used in spoken English, and means ‘anyway’ or ‘regardless’.In writing, if you want to use it to add a supporting argument/ fact, then you can use besides this/that or in addition.
　　用besides链接想法是很常见的，但这是不正确的。besides更常用于口语，是不管怎样、不管的意思。在写作中，如果你想要用它来支撑一个论点或者事实，你可以用besides this或者in addition。

　　 Explanation:Extinct is an adjective not a verb. So you need to use a verb with it, like are, will be, will become, have become etc…extinct是一个形容词不是动词，所以你需要用一个are、will be、will become、have become这样的动词。

　　 Explanation:Obviously is an adverb. In this sentence pattern (It is _______ that) you need an adjective.obiviously是一个副词，在这个句型中需要用形容词。

　　 Explanation:Some verbs go together (collocate) with prepositions, and some don’t. We can say talk about but we don’t say describe about. We just say describe.有的动词可以和介词一起使用，有的是不可以的。我们可以说talk about但是不可以说describe about，单独使用describe就可以了。
