　　The brief passage（有点儿长）: Several years ago, Groveton College adopted an honor code, which calls for students to agree not to cheat in their academic endeavors and to notify a faculty member if they suspect that others have cheated. Groveton's honor code replaced a system in which teachers closely monitored students. Under that system, teachers reported an average of thirty cases of cheating per year.
The honor code has proven far more successful: in the first year it was in place, students reported twenty-one cases of cheating; five years later, this figure had dropped to fourteen. Moreover, in a recent survey, a majority of Groveton students said that they would be less likely to cheat with an honor code in place than without. Such evidence suggests that all colleges and universities should adopt honor codes similar to Groveton's. This change is sure to result in a dramatic decline in cheating among college students.

　　我们可能发现一个偷换概念问题：文中说a majority of students said that they would be less likely to cheat with an honor code in place than without。意思是“有这个honor code的情况下比没有（这个honor code的情况）下”不会去做弊。听起来有些道理。
　　但是，但是，但是，作者不是要比较honor code和teachers’ monitoring么？怎么去比较有honor code和没有honor code了呢？哄小孩儿呢？！

　　嘲笑过后，我们开始写作。虽然我们心里的想法是the comparison should be between the honor code and the system of teacher monitoring，我们写作的时候要应对着指令的要求来写：Although the honor code , according to the majority of students, may effectively deter most students from cheating,did the students also say that they would be less likely to cheat with the honor code than with the teachers’ monitoring system?Without answering this question, it is unfair for the author to suggest that the honor code would be more effective than teachers’ monitoring in reducing cheating.

Are there any other factors that could also have LED to the reduction?For example, if the levels of difficulty of the tests decreased when the honor was in place, some students who would have otherwise cheated would not cheat.
