　　I'd like to tell you this amazing party that I attended last year. Last May, I received an invitation, for my best friend Mary's party. Mary was my high school best friend and we were still close after graduation. Although we hadn't seen each other much since she went abroad, we kept in touch. Last year she returned home and held a birthday party. As one of her best friends I was surely invited. Upon arriving at the party, I was surprised to see a lot of my former high school classmates, I haven't seen them for ages! We chatted happily and it was at that time that I reconnected with some of my classmates. I got to know how they were doing and what they were up to. More importantly, I saw Mary again. She was no longer the shy girl that I used to know. She had become more outgoing and charming. I could see overseas study did benefit her. We were more than happy to see each other. After chatting for a while, she had to host the party. There was a huge double-layered mousse cake with Mary's name on it. We sang songs and blew the candles and share the cake. It tasted good! It wasn't quite like the traditional birthday celebration though. Because in China, most people invite their best friends to have a big meal at home or in a restaurant. Sometimes people just have a meal with their family.
